Well dream no more, join Nick Fucci Outdoor & Nature Photography on an adventure filled 14-day photo safari to Southern Africa! Kruger National Park, South Africa, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and Chobe National Park, Botswana. No other destination stirs the imagination like Africa, "The cradle of mankind". The iconic wildlife of the great African plains will transport you into the pages of the National Geographic.

We're pleased to be teaming with the Mafigeni Safari Company located in Limpopo Province, South Africa to offer this exciting new safari for our 2015 season. The Mafigeni Safari Company has been offering safaris in southern Africa for over 20 years with safaris in South Africa, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, & Mozambique.

Day 1: Your Safari begins on May 4th, 2015 with your arrival in Johannesburg, South Africa. Once you've retrieved your baggage and processed through customs and immigrations you'll be greeted by your guide for the trip to Mafigeni Safari Lodge, where you'll have a chance to relax and settle in before your African safari kicks into high gear. The safari is limited to 10 persons including your group leader.

Day 2: Today will begin with an African wildlife orientation tour at the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Center. We'll also be cruising the Swadini dam and have the opportunity to photograph one of only 5 Tufa waterfalls in the world.

Day 3, 4, 5 & 6: Oh, did I mentions Africa has some of the most spectacular wildlife found anywhere in the world? We're off to the world famous Kruger National Park; Elephants, Hippos, Giraffes, Rhinos, Lions, Leopards, Cape Buffalo and much, much more await you in the park.

At the end of day 7 will travel back to the Mafigeni Safari Lodge for a chance to relax and an opportunity to edit some of the thousands of images you've captured in the previous days.

Day 7: Let’s go for a walk on the wild side as we visit the Big Five private Game reserve. Named after Africa's famous "Big 5"; Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Rhinoceros and Cape Buffalo. While on our walk we'll be accompanied by Cheetahs from the reserve. And hold on tight, we're off on an elephant back safari!

Day 8:  You'll enjoy the mountain scenery of the beautiful Blyde River Canyon were we'll visit God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes and 3 Rondavels, Lisbon & Berlin Falls arriving at Dullstroom.

Day 9: We're off to the Johannesburg airport for a short flight to Livingstone, Zambia as in "Dr. Livingstone I presume" and the spectacular Victoria Falls, the Smoke that Thunders as it's known to the locals. Considered one of the seven wonders of the natural world, Victoria Falls is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, it is however classified as the largest, based on its width of 1,708 meters (5,604 ft) and height of 108 meters (354 ft), resulting in the world's largest sheet of falling water. For comparison the falls are over twice the height of Niagara Falls.

Upon arriving in Livingstone we'll be met by our guide for the short trip across the border to the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe. That evening we'll enjoy a cruise on the Zambezi River, keep your eyes peeled for Nile Crocodiles.

Day 10: Day 10 will be spent exploring Victoria Falls and the surrounding area, from a white-water walk along the banks of Victoria Falls to the hides at a local watering hole for some up close wildlife photography! In the evening we'll enjoy a traditional dinner at the Boma, the place of eating, and a cultural immersion into Africa. Enjoy stories of the Bushveld under the African skies.

Day 11: Off to Kasane where we'll transfer by boat to Impalila Island and a wildlife cruise up the Chobe River and overnight at the Ichingo River Lodge.

Day 12 & 13: We'll explore the many river channels of the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers and the abundant wildlife and numerous species of birds that call this land home. We'll overnight at the Ichingo River Lodge and enjoy the sounds of the wild African night.

Day 14: Today you transfer to the Kasane airport for your flight back to Johannesburg and the end of your African safari and the beginning of your plans to return!

Travel Requirements: Each safari participant will require a current passport with at least 6 open pages. South Africa and Namibia require only a passport for entry; Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe require a visa in addition to your passport, visas can be purchased at each border crossing. If you hold a passport from other than the United States please check with your state department for current entry requirements for the countries listed above. You can also check official country websites online.

There are three flights required with this itinerary; your international round trip to Johannesburg, SA, Nelspruit SA to Livingstone, Zambia and Livingstone, Zambia to Johannesburg, SA. Jill Burman, owner of Mafigeni Safaris, can assist all safari participants with their travel arrangements. This will ensure the group stays together and that guides are available to assist with customs and immigrations at all border crossings.

Shots: Check with your local health department regarding current shot requirement for each of the countries you will be visiting. In addition, Malaria protocol will need to be strictly adhered to.

What's Included? The cost of the safari includes all ground transportation, lodging, meals, and safari activities detailed in the itinerary. Also included are park entry fees, travel agent and consultant services.

Not Included: Airfares, additional activities, drinks, gifts and gratuities, travel and medical insurance, laundry service, government taxes (approx 14%) and visa charges.

Cost: This exciting 14-day African Safari is $4995/pp double occupancy. A 40% single supplement will be charged for single guests. All efforts will be made to place singles together to avoid this charge; however, we cannot guarantee this.

A $500 deposit is required to secure your reservation. Balance of payment is due 90 days prior to the beginning of your safari.

Payments can be made by personal check, cashier's check, direct wire transfers or credit card. Please note, a 3.5% surcharge will be applied to all Credit card transactions.
